For a long time, Ciaran Holden- Engineering Superintendent at the Africa Mercy, dreamed of having a fuel measuring / gauging annex saving system on-board the hospital ship. This month, his prayer was finally heard, thanks to the Global Durability Fund (GDF) – financial supporter, and KROHNE, supplying the system against a reduced tariff. The system will not only enable the Africa Mercy to operate more sustainable, but also makes the ship future compliance proof. Mercy Ships would like to thank both organizations for their generous offer. Their effort enables us to reach our Mercy Ships mission; to provide medical care for the world’s poorest in Africa.
